FAQ about Hayvenhurst
-
Hayvenhurst is a registered brandname, inspired by the family compound in the Encino neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley in California, where Jackie and his siblings lived.
-
Yes, they are. Hayvenhurst works exclusively with certified materials and sets a high sustainability standard for our suppliers. Our products are 100% circular, which means that after the end-of-life cylcle, every part can be returned as a new raw material within our manufacturings process.
-
Every piece of furniture is built to last, and offers a long-term value. However, our furniture is designed to "live" a circular life. This will allow everyone with a Hayvenhurst piece to reduce their carbon footprint, and do good for future generations. More on sustainabilty check this link.
-
No, not yet. Hayvenhurst has an online store, but the first physical store will follow later in 2025 at a location in the USA to be determined.
FAQ about the environment
-
At Hayvenhurst we strive to make a change for our planet. Currently, our manufacturing facility is in The Netherlands, so shipping to the USA is a crucial part of within our process. Every day we are looking for different options to reduce our carbon footprint with shipments. For example by using "empty container" slots. Often, empty containers are shipped to the USA, so we use those spots to fill. On land we strive to use electric transportation.
We predict that the Hayvenhurst circular process will start in 10 years. This means that people have the opportunity to hand in a piece of Hayvenhurst furniture at locations in the USA and we organize our production process locally with the "new" raw materials as the main line of supply. Only in this way can we work towards future sustainability of material scarcity, and achieve a zero footprint.

The R&D, design and production takes place in the Netherlands. This also applies to the assemply of the final piece of furniture. The different types of raw recycled materials come from different sources in Europe. With the exception of the liquid latex. This is extracted from rubber trees from Thailand in South East Asia. The production from the latex comfort filling is done in The Netherlands.
